Sometimes this is because something is affecting the group as a whole, and we see it and write about it. Sometimes this is a personal milestone - a flash of insight about our own situation, or a lengthier struggle to overcome a specific issue. And sometimes, a subject simply strikes our fancy and we ramble. Baby courtesans ramble. We seem to be predisposed to this.
